We’ll be open for pick your strawberries, saskatoons, peas and raspberries from 9am to 12pm with the Farm Store remaining open until 4pm. We’re into the last 5 to 7 days of the strawberry season now which means that we’ve still got lots of gorgeous berries to pick. At this point in the season, the fruit does tend to be a bit smaller (but those are truly the best ones in my opinion!) and it does take a bit longer to fill your baskets than it did in the earlier days of the season. In the Farm Store we will have a limited supply of Fresh Picked Strawberries and Fresh picked peas coming off the fields at 11am, but a good supply of fresh carrots, beets, salad greens, kale, herbs.
We always recommend that you give our Farm Hotline: 475 5181 quick call JUST before you head out to the farm as the size of crowds, weather and ripening can change the availability of our produce and we do update this message as soon as we can.
At the farm we accept debit, credit card, personal cheque and cash, of course. We sure do appreciate when you are able to use cash or personal cheque – in fact – we have a separate line up outside for that during strawberry season to get you through a bit quicker.
Due to food safety concerns, pets are not allowed into the pick your own fields or any of the buildings on site and we do appreciate your understanding.
We are planning to be at our Little Red Barn (located in the parking lot of Home Hardware on Memorial Avenue) on Thursday and Friday this week at 11am each day – just check in with this message the morning of to confirm availability of produce at the Barn.
