Update for Wednesday, September 6th & Thursday, September 7th

Going ahead into the month of September, we will be open afternoons only, Tuesdays to Sundays from 12pm to 4pm.  Mondays we will be closed.  We will have our Pick Your Own hours in the afternoon as well.

On Wednesday AND Thursday afternoons, our cucumber patch will be closed for ripening (it’s just not ripening up with these cool days and cooler nights), but your are welcome to pick yellow and green beans.  Out next Pea Patch won’t be ready for picking until the end of the week

Expected Produce In the Farm Store Wednesday:   Our scrumptious Sweet Corn!  Wild Blueberries,  Slicing cucumbers, eggplants, new potatoes, beets, tomatoes, carrots, garlic, dill weed,  summer squash and zucchini, an excellent supply of all colours of beans and a nice ass’t of garden veggies now.   Fresh Picked pickling cucumbers will not be available.

On Thursday, we’ll have pretty much the same list available for produce in the Farm Store, but you can check in Thursday morning for confirmation.

The Amazing Corn Maze is now open to explore! $1 from each $5 (HST included) admission is donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay. Just check in with our staff in the Farm Store to pay your admission and to let us know you’ll be heading into the maze.

There is some construction happening on Hwy 130, especially if you head out to the farm from Hwy 11/17 or Arthur Street. We suggest taking Hwy 61 South (towards the US border) to Hwy 130. Turn right onto Hwy 130. Turn left onto Candy Mountain Drive and we’re just down the road on your right hand side.

At the farm we accept debit, VISA and Mastercard, however, as a small business, we sure do appreciate it when you are able to use cash or debit.

For those of you looking for information on the Little Red Barn:  We are certainly hoping there will be enough yield this year to be at the Little Red Barn with our VEGGIES including peas, beans, carrots, beets, potatoes and eventually sweet corn and cucumbers. At this point, though, it doesn’t look like we’ll be starting at the Little Red Barn until we really get into the Sweet Corn season. But do keep in touch, because if things change we will definitely post the information here on our Farm Updates page and have it on our info line as well: 475 5181

We know your furry family members love to take a drive out to the country, however, due to health and safety concerns for both humans and our farm animals, we cannot have any pets in the Pick Your Own fields, the Farm Store, the Greenhouse or the Children’s Play Area. We appreciate your understanding.
