We’re open here this week from Wednesday to Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. And although we’ll be closed here on Monday and Tuesday to catch up on some harvesting (we have less hands around here during the week when our students are back in class!), OUR SELF-SERVE SWEET CORN STAND WILL BE WELL STOCKED AT THE END OF OUR DRIVEWAY.
I will have next week’s hours (September 25th to the 29th) posted ASAP – we will have decreased hours next week as we transform the farm into our Fall Wonderland! (Open Wknds only starting with the last weekend in September)
LITTLE RED BARN UPDATE: We’ll be bringing our Fresh Picked Scrumptious Sweet Corn and our garden veggies to the Little Red Barn (located in the parking lot of Home Hardware on Memorial Avenue) on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday this week and we’ll be open there from 11am to 4pm. Check in with this message to confirm availability at the Little Red Barn each day as Mother Nature sometimes puts a kink in even our best laid plans.
BACK HERE AT THE FARM: Our Pickling Cucumber patch will be open for picking Wednesday afternoon. Both Dill Size and Bread n ‘ Butter Size will be available for picking, but it will be on the light side for picking. We will also have light picking in the sugar snap peas and light picking in the yellow and green beans.
Expected Produce In the Farm Store Wednesday: Sweet Corn, slicing cucumbers, eggplants, new potatoes, beets, tomatoes, carrots, garlic, dill weed, summer squash and zucchini, yellow and green beans, and a nice ass’t of garden veggies now. Fresh Picked Pickling Cucumbers will not be available.
The Amazing Corn Maze is now open to explore (during Farm hours)! $1 from each $5 (HST included) admission is donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay. Just check in with our staff in the Farm Store to pay your admission and to let us know you’ll be heading into the maze.
At the farm we accept debit, VISA and Mastercard, however, as a small business, we sure do appreciate it when you are able to use cash or debit.
We know your furry family members love to take a drive out to the country, however, due to health and safety concerns for both humans and our farm animals, we cannot have any pets in the Pick Your Own fields, the Farm Store, the Greenhouse or the Children’s Play Area. We appreciate your understanding.
