We’ll be open for picking this morning from 9am to 12pm. For picking we’ll have very good raspberry picking, good pea picking, light yellow bean picking, and light Saskatoon available. Sadly, Strawberry season has now come to an end.
The Farm Store will also be open from 9am to 4pm.
From our Farm, we will have: Greenhouse-grown slicing cucumbers, new potatoes, garlic scapes, dill weed, young baby beets, and a good supply of Fresh Picked peas. Fresh Picked beans may be available by the afternoon – call our Farm Info Line: 475 5181 to confirm.
From our Small-Scale, Sustainable, Ontario Farm Partners, we will have: Sweet Cherries, Sour Cherries, Apricots, and Red, Blue, Yellow & Golden Plums
From the wilds of Northwestern Ontario, we will have: wild blueberries and wild chanterelle mushrooms
Upcoming Crops: Cucumbers may be ready by the weekend! And Sweet Corn may be ready by the middle of August! Keep in touch for updated information.
There is some construction happening on Hwy 130, especially if you head out to the farm from Hwy 11/17 or Arthur Street. We suggest taking Hwy 61 South (towards the US border) to Hwy 130. Turn right onto Hwy 130. You’ll then come across a short detour that will take you straight past our farm driveway.
The “Pick Your Own” experience is a bit unique in that our Pick Your Own availability can change due to weather, ripening or simply if we’ve had a big crowd here, and, therefore, our fields are picked out. That’s why we always suggest (even though we do set a “Pick Your Own” schedule of hours) that you call our info line: 475 5181 or check in with these updates for DAILY picking conditions.
For the month of August, the farm will be closed on Mondays.

For those of you looking for information on the Little Red Barn: There simply wasn’t enough yield from our strawberry fields to have strawberries for you at the Little Red Barn this year. Our apologies! It was a bit of a challenging year for strawberries. HOWEVER! We are certainly hoping there will be enough yield this year to be at the Little Red Barn with our VEGGIES including peas, beans, carrots, beets, potatoes and eventually sweet corn and cucumbers. At this point, though, it doesn’t look like we’ll be starting at the Little Red Barn until sometime in early to mid August. But do keep in touch, because if things change we will definitely post the information here on our Farm Updates page and have it on our info line as well: 475 5181
We know your furry family members love to take a drive out to the country, however, due to health and safety concerns for both humans and our farm animals, we cannot have any pets in the Pick Your Own fields, the Farm Store, the Greenhouse or the Children’s Play Area.
