Our next pick your own hours will be on Tuesday from 9am to 12pm with the Farm Store remaining open until 4pm. You can pick your own cucumbers, both dill and bread n’ butter size. We will also have light picking available in the beans, and end of the season light picking in the peas.
In the Farm Store, we will have our scrumptious sweet corn. And as the picking crew had Labour Day Monday off – we are very busy this morning catching up on some picking. At 9am we will have beets, dill weed, garlic, new potatoes, cabbage, cauliflower, kale, swiss chard, wild mushrooms and Fresh Picked Bread n’ Butter size cucumbers. After about 12pm we should be adding more sweet corn, carrots and possibility yellow and green beans – check in with this message for confirmation. Fresh Picked dill size cucumbers won’t be available today.
The amazing maze is now open to explore during farm hours. This year’s design is in celebration of 4-H Canada’ s 100 year anniversary. $1 from each $5 admission is donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay (HST included). Just check in with our staff in the Farm Store to pay your admission and let us know you’ll be heading into the maze.
We always recommend that you give our Farm Hotline: 475 5181 a quick call JUST before you head out to the farm as the size of crowds, weather and ripening can change the availability of our produce and we do update this message as soon as we can..
It is our plan to be at the Little Red Barn (located in the parking lot of Home Hardware) on Thursday and Friday this week at 11am both days. Just phone our hotline the morning of both days to confirm produce availability at the Little Red Barn.
