Thursday, July 30th Update

Well, it turns out that we will not have any Fresh Picked Strawberries in the Farm Store today – our picking crew just isn’t getting enough off the fields. We do apologize. As we head into the last 5 days or so of the strawberry season, availability of Fresh Picked strawberries does become lower. Our PYO strawberry and raspberry fields are closed during the day, but we will be open this evening from 6pm to 9pm for strawberry and raspberry picking as well as peas and saskatoons. The Farm store is open here today until 4pm and then will reopen with that evening pick. We have a great supply of Fresh picked peas, fresh carrots, beets, dill, and salad greens. And you are welcome to walk out to the saskatoons or peas during the day to pick.

Karli is at our Little Red Barn (located in the parking lot of Home Hardware on Memorial Avenue) by 11am. She won’t have any Fresh Picked Strawberries with her, but she will have a great supply of those wonderful fresh veggies I mentioned above that will be in our Farm Store today.

We always recommend that you give our Farm Hotline:  475 5181 a quick call JUST before you head out to the farm as the size of crowds, weather and ripening can change the availability of our produce and we do update this message as soon as we can.

At the farm we accept debit, credit card, personal cheque and cash, of course. We sure do appreciate when you are able to use cash or personal cheque – in fact – we have a separate line up outside for that during strawberry season to get you through a bit quicker.

Due to food safety concerns, pets are not allowed into the pick your own fields or any of the buildings on site and we do appreciate your understanding.
