Our pick your own hours will be our scheduled evening pick from 6pm to 9pm. The Farm Store will be open from 9am to 4pm and then again with the evening pick. For picking on Tuesday evening, we will have dill size and bread n’ butter size cucumbers. We’ll also have light picking in the yellow and green beans, light picking in the peas and very light end of the season picking in the raspberries.
In the Farm Store during the day, we will have a good supply of our scrumptious sweet corn! And we’ll also have a great selection of garden veggies including fresh picked carrots, beets, dill, garlic, new potatoes, beans, cabbage and bread n’ butter size cucumbers. Fresh Picked dill size cucumbers aren’t available currently – we are still trying to catch up on orders from the cool, rainy weather we’ve been having. This cooler weather has really slowed down the ripening in our cucumber patch.
We always recommend that you give this line a quick call JUST before you head out to the farm as the size of crowds, weather and ripening can change the availability of our produce and we do update this message as soon as we can.
The amazing maze is now open to explore during farm hours. This year’s design is in celebration of 4-H Canada’ s 100 year anniversary. $1 from each $5 admission is donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay (HST included). Just check in with our staff in the Farm Store to pay your admission and let us know you’ll be heading into the maze.
We will not be at our Little Red Barn on Thursday, unfortunately. The cooler weather hasn’t allowed us to harvest enough produce to come into the Red Barn. We are still aiming to be there on Friday at 11am with Sweet Corn and much of the same produce as we’ll have in our Farm Store. Just check in with this message Friday morning to confirm.
