Our Pick Your Own Fields and Farm Store will be open from 12pm to 4pm. We’ll have end of the season strawberry picking, light raspberry picking, excellent pea and bean picking and good Saskatoon picking. There’s about 3 to 4 days or so left to the strawberry season. This means that there still is amazingly sweet and tasty berries to pick, but the size of the fruit does start to get a bit smaller now and it will take just a bit longer now to fill your baskets. In the Farm Store Fresh Picked Strawberries will no longer be available as we are now in the final few days of the season. However, we do have a good supply of delicious garden veggies like Fresh Picked peas, carrots, beets, dill, new potatoes, kale, herbs, salad greens and wonderful wild chanterelle mushrooms.
The Farm will be closed on the Civic Holiday Monday. We haven’t decided if our next pick your own date will be Tuesday morning or Tuesday evening – it will depend on the size of the crowd and the weather on Sunday. Check in with this message by mid-day Monday for confirmation of Tuesday’s pick.
We always recommend that you give our Farm Hotline: 475 5181 a quick call JUST before you head out to the farm as the size of crowds, weather and ripening can change the availability of our produce and we do update this message as soon as we can.
At the farm we accept debit, credit card, personal cheque and cash, of course. We sure do appreciate when you are able to use cash or personal cheque – in fact – we have a separate line up outside for that during strawberry season to get you through a bit quicker.
Due to food safety concerns, pets are not allowed into the pick your own fields or any of the buildings on site and we do appreciate your understanding.
