Well, it looks like we’ll get some rain this evening so we will NOT be open for our evening pick today. The farm will remain open until 4pm, and, although our wagons stop running at 12noon, you are welcome to walk out to the fields to do some strawberry picking, Saskatoon picking and pea picking. The raspberry patch is closed for ripening. In the Farm Store this afternoon we will have a limited supply of Fresh Picked Strawberries, a limited supply of Fresh picked peas, but a good supply of fresh carrots, beets, salad greens, kale, herbs.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, we’ll be open for pick your strawberries, saskatoons, peas and raspberries from 9am to 12pm with the Farm Store remaining open until 4pm. You can check in with our Farm Hotline: 475 5181 first thing in the morning for availability of Fresh Picked produce in the Farm Store.
We always recommend that you give our Farm Hotline: 475 5181 a quick call JUST before you head out to the farm as the size of crowds, weather and ripening can change the availability of our produce and we do update this message as soon as we can.
At the farm we accept debit, credit card, personal cheque and cash, of course. We sure do appreciate when you are able to use cash or personal cheque – in fact – we have a separate line up outside for that during strawberry season to get you through a bit quicker.
Due to food safety concerns, pets are not allowed into the pick your own fields or any of the buildings on site and we do appreciate your understanding.
We are planning to be at our Little Red Barn (located in the parking lot of Home Hardware on Memorial Avenue) on Thursday and Friday this week at 11am each day – just check in with this message the morning of to confirm availability of produce at the Barn.
