NEW UPDATE Friday, August 21st

We had a good cucumber picking crowd out here first thing this morning so the field did fill up with pickers – that means that if you’d still like to come out to do a bit of picking it will be very light for dill size but still pretty good picking for bread n’ butter size.  We also have good picking in the yellow and green beans, light picking in the peas and light end of the season picking in the raspberries.  Our pick your own fields are open until 12pm.

The Farm Store is open until 4pm, and we have a great selection of garden veggies including fresh picked carrots, beets, salad greens, herbs, dill, garlic, new potatoes, peas, beans, and bread n’ butter size cucumbers.  Fresh Picked dill size won’t be available as we are trying to catch up on some orders that were delayed due to the rain.  And due to a bit of a low yield this year in the raspberries, Fresh Picked raspberries will not be available.  We are picking our first Sweet Corn of the season here this morning and we WILL have Sweet Corn available in a limited supply here in the Farm Store by 11am.

We always recommend that you give our Farm Hotline:  475 5181 a quick call JUST before you head out to the farm as the size of crowds, weather and ripening can change the availability of our produce and we do update this message as soon as we can.

We will not be at our Little Red Barn on Friday as the rain as delayed harvesting – we’re still trying to catch up- and we just won’t have enough produce ready to be able to come into the Red Barn.  The Little Red Barn is located in the parking lot of Home Hardware on Memorial Avenue.  We try our best to be there on Thursday and Friday each week – weather and harvest permitting.  It is our plan to be there next week with Sweet Corn and LOTS of veggies!
