We will be at the Little Red Barn in town this week quite a lot! Claire will be there on Tuesday and Wednesday and Karli will be there on Thursday and Friday. The Little Red Barn is located in the parking lot of Home Hardware and we arrive there by 11am and stay until we sell out which is around 3pm. We’ll be bringing in lots of fresh picked sweet corn AND wild blueberries. Just phone our hotline the morning of both days to confirm produce availability at the Little Red Barn.
As we transition into the fall season, our farm hours will be reduced. This week, we’ll be open on Tuesday the 15th, Wednesday the 16th, Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th from 12pm to 4pm. After that we will be closed until we open on our Fall Wonderland which is open weekends only (11am to 5pm each day) beginning with the last weekend in September until October 31st.
During the times we are closed, we will have our self-serve sweet corn cart at the end of the driveway for your convenience. Cash only and correct change is appreciated.
On Tuesday afternoon, you’ll be able to pick your own cucumbers and beans. We’ll have a great selection of garden veggies in the Farm Store including our hand-picked sweet corn, carrots, beets, potatoes, garlic, cauliflower, cabbage, wild blueberries and more. Fresh Picked cucumbers are no longer available.
The amazing maze is now open to explore during farm hours. This year’s design is in celebration of 4-H Canada’ s 100 year anniversary. $1 from each $5 admission is donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay (HST included). The Amazing Maze is 3 acres and takes about 20 to 30 min. to complete. Just check in with our staff in the Farm Store to pay your admission and let us know you’ll be heading into the maze.
