Farm Update for Wednesday, August 24th

Our cucumber patch will be firmly CLOSED for ripening on Wednesday.  We had a really big cucumber picking crowd out on Tuesday and the patch has been completely picked out – we’ll cucumber picking available again on Thursday morning (weather permitting, of course). However, for picking on Wednesday, we will have great picking in the pea patch and the yellow and green bean patch.    The raspberry season has now finished.

The Farm Store will be open from 9am to 4pm. We will have Fresh Picked sweet corn available!  We also have a limited supply of Fresh Picked dill size cucumbers and a good supply of Bread n’ Butter size cucumbers.  We also have garlic, dill, new potatoes, peas, beans, kohlorabi, eggplant, summer squash, and just a nice selection of garden veggies. We also have wild blueberries! We won’t have beets and carrots available until the afternoon – you can check back with this message for confirmation.

We are a smoke-free facility.  And due to food safety concerns, unfortunately pets aren’t allowed into the pick your own fields or any of the buildings on site and we appreciate your understanding. It’s probably best to leave them at home where they’ll be somewhere cool and comfortable.

Here at the farm we accept debit and all major credit cards, but as a small business, we sure do appreciate it when you are able to use cash or personal cheque for your purchases – just to help us avoid those pesky debit and credit card fees.
