Now that we’re heading into the month of September, our Farm Hours will be reduced. From now until Sunday, September 18th, we’ll be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 4pm. We will be closed from Monday to Wednesday. We’ll re-open for our Fall Wonderland on Saturday, September 24th. Our Fall Wonderland is open weekends only until the last weekend in October.
We will not be at the Little Red Barn in town today – due to a combination of lack of staff 🙂 (darn that back to school) and available produce. We are trying our VERY BEST to be there for you tomorrow (Friday) at 11:30am to about 3:30pm. Check in with this message to confirm. The Little Red Barn is located in the parking lot of Home Hardware on Memorial Avenue.
Back here at the farm on Thursday from 9amto 12pm, we will have pick your own cucumbers, both dill and bread n’ butter size available. We will also have good picking available in the beans. The peas are now finished for the season.
In the Farm Store, we will have our scrumptious sweet corn as well as a great selection of garden veggies including fresh picked carrots, beets, garlic, dill weed, new potatoes, cauliflower, wild blueberries and wild chanterelle mushrooms. We will have Fresh Picked Bread n’ Butter size cucumbers but do not have any Fresh Picked Dill size available at this point in the season.
The Amazing Maze is now open to explore during farm hours. $1 from each $5 admission is donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay (HST included). The Maze takes about 20 minutes to complete. Just check in with our staff in the Farm Store to pay your admission and let us know you’ll be heading into the maze.
