We’ll be open here on Sunday from 12pm to 4pm. We’ve got pick your own cucumbers, all sizes and excellent pick your own beans. The pea patch is now finished for the season.
In the Farm Store, we are sold out of our Sweet Corn for the weekend. LOTS more Sweet Corn coming this week. But we do have carrots & beets (including the coloured heirloom varieties), new potatoes, beans, garlic, dill weed, cauliflower, summer squash, cabbage, wild blueberries, wild chanterelle mushrooms, and local apples. We do have some Fresh Picked Bread n’ Butter size cucs, but Fresh Picked dill size are no longer available.
Now that we’re heading into the month of September, our Farm Hours will be reduced. From now until Sunday, September 18th, we’ll be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 4pm. We will be closed from Monday to Wednesday. HOWEVER – we will be closed here on Saturday, September 10th for the Valley Harvest Art Fest – a fabulous new food and art festival here at the farm. The Amazing Maze is now open to explore during farm hours. $1 from each $5 admission is donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay (HST included). The Maze takes about 20 minutes to complete. Just check in with our staff in the Farm Store to pay your admission and let us know you’ll be heading into the maze.
It’s our plan to be at the Little Red Barn on both Thursday and Friday this week. The Little Red Barn is located in the parking lot of Home Hardware on Memorial Avenue. You can check in with this message Wednesday night for confirmation and hours.
