Welcome to the very first day of the 2016 strawberry season!
Here at the Farm we accept all major credit cards, debit or personal cheque. If you can bring cash as payment, that does tend to speed you through the line-ups quicker.
We understand that your furry family members sure love a drive out to the country, however, for food and safety concerns, unfortunately pets are not allowed into the picking areas, the Farm Store or the greenhouse. It can also get quite hot waiting in a parked car, so we do suggest that you leave your four-legged family members at home. We thank you for your understanding.
We are a smoke-free environment.
We will be open here on Saturday for Pick Your Own Strawberries starting at 9am. Wagons will continue to run out to the fields until 1pm after which you may walk out to the fields to pick until 3pm. Our Farm Store will be open from 9am to 4pm.
PYO Strawberries are $3.75/L which works out to $15 for a 4L basket (that’s your basic ice cream pail size). We do have baskets available here for you to pick in at a cost of $1.50/basket. Any containers you bring yourself must be clearly marked with a Litre volume.
The Harvest Cafe will be open from 9am to 4pm with the B.B.Q. running until 1pm (we serve only local hotdogs!).
In the Farm Store on Saturday, we will have a Fresh Picked Strawberries arriving off the fields at 10:30am. You can call 475 5181 before you head out as I will update the message if we sell out.
Fresh Picked Strawberry prices are $18.75 for a 3L basket or $18/basket if you buy 4 or more. 1.5L Fresh Picked baskets are $9.75.
Whew! I think that’s the basic info! You can click here: www.belluzfarms.on.ca/whats-in-season/#raspberries-strawberries for even more strawberry info. Remember the farm info line: 475 5181 will be updated regularly with info as well.
Happy Picking! And thanks for celebrating another strawberry season with our family.
