We will be at the Thunder Bay Country Market with strawberries. The Country Market is located in the Dove Building of the C.L.E. grounds and we are out back under our white tent. The hours are from 8am to 1pm, however, our berries do tend to sell out quickly!
Back here at the farm, our Pick Your Own Fields will be open from 9am to 1pm with wagon service, after which time, you may walk out to the fields until 3pm. Just keep an eye on the weather – if it’s going to be a hot afternoon, it’s probably better to get your picking done in the morning! You can call our Farm Info Line: 475 5181 for continually updated information about picking conditions.
This is perhaps the last 4 to 5 days of the strawberry season – we’re starting the 4th week of the season now. So still really great, sweet berries out in the fields, just the size of the berries does get a bit smaller now so it will take a touch longer to fill your baskets than it did during peak picking. We’ll also have good Saskatoon picking and light pea picking available.
The Farm Store will be open from 9am to 4pm. We will have a limited supply of Fresh Picked Strawberries in the Farm Store by 10:30 am and as we are heading into the last week of Strawberries, I am no longer able to take orders for Fresh Picked Strawberries. As with our Pick Your Own Strawberries, the size of our berries does get a bit smaller as we head towards the end of the season, but they still taste delicious and sweet! Our pea season is off to a bit of a slow start so Fresh Picked Peas aren’t currently available – we should start getting a consistent supply going next week. We will have baby beets available in the Farm Store, though, and baby carrots and yellow and green beans should be coming by the start of next week.
More information about our fruits and veggies can be found HERE
The Harvest Café will be open from 9am to 4pm with BBQ service until 1pm.
Due to food safety concerns, unfortunately pets aren’t allowed into the pick your own fields or any of the buildings on site and we do appreciate your understanding on that matter.
At the farm we accept debit, credit card, personal cheque and cash, of course. But as a small business, we sure do appreciate when you are able to use cash or personal cheque to help avoid credit card and debit fees.
