NEW! Farm Update for Saturday, August 20th, 2016

You can find us in town on Saturday at the Thunder Bay Country Market located in the Dove Building on the CLE grounds from 8am to 1pm – we’re out back under a white tent.

Here at the farm on Saturday….Our pick your fields will be open from 9am to 1pm.  For picking on Saturday morning, we’ll have good picking for dill size cucumbers, good picking for Bread n’ Butter size cucumbers and good picking for slicer size cucumbers. The pea and yellow and green bean picking are just a touch on the light side – we’re waiting for a new field to be ready to pick.  And it’s very light, end of the season picking in the raspberry patch now.

The Farm Store will be open from 9am to 4pm.  No Sweet Corn quite yet, unfortunately!  We’ll do our first pick at the start of this coming week – so always check in this message, but we should have sweet corn for you on Tuesday morning. We have fresh picked dill size cucumbers, bread n’ butter size and slicer size cucumbers, garlic, dill, new potatoes, beans, beets, carrots, greenhouse heirloom tomatoes, kohlorabi, yellow zucchini, summer squash, eggplant and a nice ass’t of garden veggies.  ALSO we have wild blueberries!  No peas available this weekend – we’re just waiting for that new patch to ripen up – we should have more for you next week.

Due to food safety concerns, unfortunately pets aren’t allowed into the pick your own fields or any of the buildings on site and we appreciate your understanding.  It’s probably best to leave them at home where they’ll be somewhere cool.

At the farm we accept debit, credit card, personal cheque and cash, of course.  But as a small business, we sure do appreciate it when you are able to use cash or personal cheque to help us avoid those pesky credit card and debit fees.
