Farm Update for Sunday, September 11th

We’ll be open here this afternoon from 12pm to 4pm.  Now that we’re in the month of September, our Farm Hours are reduced. From now until Sunday, September 18th, we’ll be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 9am to 4pm and on Sundays from 12pm to 4pm.  We will be closed from Monday to Wednesday.

For picking here this Sunday, we’ll have end of the season cucumber picking – just takes longer now to find those dill size cucs and definitely not as many out there. Lots of slicer size for relish. There’s some light picking available in the yellow and green beans.  The pea patch is now finished for the season.

In the Farm Store, we will have our scrumptious sweet corn as well as a great selection of garden veggies including fresh picked carrots, beets, garlic, dill weed, new potatoes, cauliflower, and local apples.  Fresh Picked cucumbers are no longer available.

Our farm animals for viewing area is temporarily closed – we’re doing some renovations to the area, but the animals will be back with our Fall Wonderland starting that last weekend in September.Farm

The Amazing Maze is now open to explore during farm hours.  $1 from each $5 admission is donated to the United Way of Thunder Bay (HST included).  The Maze takes about 20 minutes to complete.  Just check in with our staff in the Farm Store to pay your admission and let us know you’ll be heading into the maze.
