Good news! We’ll be able to go ahead with an evening pick from 6:30 to 8:30pm. For picking we’ll have light picking for dill size cucumbers (there’s lots of tiny gherkin size out there, which means all we need some rain and then the picking will be great), good picking for Bread n’ Butter size cucumbers and excellent picking for slicer size cucumbers. It’s just a bit light picking in the peas and yellow and green beans – but not too bad! It’s very light, end of the season picking in the raspberry patch now.
The Farm Store will be open until 4pm and again with the evening pick from 6:30 to 9pm. We have a limited supply of fresh picked dill size cucumbers, a great supply of bread n’ butter size and slicer size cucumbers, garlic, dill, peas, new potatoes, yellow and green beans, beets, carrots, greenhouse heirloom tomatoes, kohlorabi, yellow zucchini, summer squash, eggplant and a nice ass’t of garden veggies. ALSO we have LOTS of wild blueberries and local apples from Mountainstream Orchard!
It’s looking less and less likely that we’ll have Sweet Corn for this weekend, probably early in the week BUT Kevin hasn’t made his decision quite yet…so check in with this message Saturday morning, we may go ahead with a first pick in which case there’ll be a limited supply available by 10:30am…
Due to food safety concerns, unfortunately pets aren’t allowed into the pick your own fields or any of the buildings on site and we appreciate your understanding. It’s probably best to leave them at home where they’ll be somewhere cool.
At the farm we accept debit, credit card, personal cheque and cash, of course. But as a small business, we sure do appreciate it when you are able to use cash or personal cheque to help us avoid those pesky credit card and debit fees.
